I'm back after a week's vacation, so I will slowly get up all the pics I missed sharing this past week.
We were in New Orleans for the beginning of Mardi Gras (yes, it starts early!). Lots of street musicians around playing all types of music during the day. It's really a nice time to go; you can get the flavor of Mardi Gras (daily parades, nightly parties) before a huge influx of tourists pour into the city. This time is more for the citizens of the city. We saw a wonderful old style parade that wound it's way through the French Quarter. Wagon floats were pulled by mules as they were originally. Still, plenty of beads and condoms were thrown through the air and costumes were interesting to say the least ;-).
