Another birthday dinner out, this time I subbed a small camera for my phone, but the pics aren't much better :(

And, no, I didn't eat all of these, but I did try each one :)

1. Fried Apple Empanadas
vanilla bean cider reduction, toasted oat streusel, caramel ice cream
2. Milk Chocolate-Hazelnut Torte
caramelized bananas, espresso syrup, banana ice cream
3. Sweet Potato Cake
peppercorn-date sauce, toasted marshmallow

My daughter is testing out some dessert ideas for the restaurant. We get the benefit of the taste-testing. Not sure my waistline thinks of it as a benefit, though lol!

My daughter was in charge of the holiday dessert. Instead of the traditional pumpkin and pecan pies, she made pumpkin cheesecake and chocolate pecan tart.

I think I gained 5 pounds ;-).
