166-366 sweet tweets
Going into our local pet store to buy kitten food, I'm always passing these colorful parakeets. Hard to get a shot of them though, as they are always moving.
165-366 "Freyja discovers the delights of an open window"
She was attracted by the roses swaying in the breeze.
I completely forgot to put up Day 165. That's what happens when you fall behind getting shots off your camera.
164-366 playing in the trash
We were amazed when she leaped from the ground into a tall trash can and then easily jumped out again. Nothing is safe now!
Little kitten images will be a lot less now that Freyja has gone to live with my daughter. We had her visiting every week for a few days to see if she and Loki could coexist and luckily they get along like best pals. I suppose Loki doesn't feel threatened by something so little and Freyja is thrilled to have a constant playmate.
160-366 dinner out
No, I don't know these people. But as we were sitting, talking and waiting for our meals, I had my camera out to take food pics and was checking for lighting, so they became my trial subjects.
158-366 memories
After my mother passed away, one of the things I took from her house was some of her rose bushes. She loved growing them and the red ones were her favorites. When this one bloomed I decided to photograph it with two of her things. The gloves were from those days when a proper lady would always wear gloves when going out (I love the detail on them). The leather clutch was one my father bought for her on their honeymoon.
I was not happy with the oof rose. I think I'll revisit this idea when I get another perfect red rose from the garden.
156-366 cookies
called my name, but I did not answer...
I always feel a little silly pulling out my big camera in a shop, so that's when a phone comes in handy :).
155-366 kitten with rose
LOL, how's that for a cliche pic all-in-one!
Actually I was trying to shoot a rose in a cup on the floor where the lighting was better, and little Freyja couldn't help herself; the rose needed to be pulled out of the cup!

139-366 "Little lost soul"
Poor little thing...
My husband's assistant found him while parking her car. First she thought it was a rag in the road until it moved. His eyes were glued shut from a bit of disease and it was only 4 weeks old. No doubt it would have been run over quickly in the busy street!
So guess who got to pick him up and take him to the vet? And guess who is getting attached to the little thing?
131-366 spring flowers
I'm a sucker for spring flowers ;)
I also got my 50mm f1.4 lens back, all nicely repaired by Canon in the 7 days they promised. The focus is all back! This pic was sharper than this and I toned it down a bit to make it softer. Not sure this lens was even that good before they fixed it.
130-366 schoolhouse bell
This is at the top of an old one room schoolhouse. The picture was disappointing, but gained a little more interest when I changed it to b&w and suddenly the clouds really popped out.
